RALEIGH, N.C. – May 11, 2011 – Weeks have come and cleanup crews have gone, but many citizens, and their pets, are left picking up the pieces after the aftermath. With the help of North Hills, hopefully, living through the aftermath can be a little easier.



During the Beach Music Series on Thursday, May 12th from 6pm to 9pm, North Hills will kick off a 30-day tornado relief effort by collecting non-perishable food and monetary donations for the Interfaith Food Shuttle, pet food for the Wake County Pet Shelter, and monetary donations for Shaw University. North Hills will also be collecting donations on Saturday, May 14th during the Midtown Farmers’ Market from 8am to Noon.



In addition to collecting items, North Hills will match the monetary donations of the general public that donate in conjunction with North Hills by writing North Hills in the Memo line or “In Honor of North Hills Tornado Relief” on the Interfaith Food Shuttle website at FoodShuttle.org. North Hills Cares for Raleigh will continue throughout the summer. North Hills will match donations up to $1250 for the Interfaith Food Shuttle, Shaw University, and the Wake County Pet Shelter.
