Harnett County 4-H will be conducting a duck race fundraiser and family fun event on Saturday, Aug. 18 from 1-3 p.m. along the Cape Fear River in Lillington behind Howard’s BBQ. Rubber Ducks can be purchased at the Harnett County Cooperative Extension Office located at 126 Alexander Drive in Lillington or at Howard’s BBQ for $5 each and will also be available on site the day of the event. Beginning at 1:30, the ducks will be released into the river to race to the finish.
The owner of the winning duck will receive a $100 gift card to Wal-mart. Fun and games will also be available for the entire family. You do not need to be present to win.
