If you have ever wanted to see your artwork walking around the community along with winning prize money and more, then the new 2012 T-Shirt Design Contest, sponsored by Fuquay-Varina Downtown, needs your creative entry. This year’s theme is Two Downtowns? You gotta “LINK” that! The theme builds upon the branding campaign of two historic downtowns and an area that “links” them together.

This contest is open to the general public and is seeking a graphic design that artfully depicts Fuquay-Varina’s unique andhistoric Downtown districts. The first place winning design will be chosen by a panel of judges assigned by Fuquay-Varina Downtown.

Along with the pride of having your chosen design image on hundreds of T-shirts throughout Fuquay-Varina, there are some other nice perks to winning. If your art entry is chosen to be the best, then you will receive:

  • $300 prize money
  • 4 complimentary Sleigh-ride tickets
  • 2 complimentary T-Shirts
  • 4 complimentary Brunswick Stew Tasting Tickets

Prizes will be publicly awarded on Sept. 29 at Fuquay-Varina’s 2nd annual Downtown Bounty event.

To promote the winning design, recognition of the artist will appear on the FV Downtown website, Facebook, Twitter and other media outlets that cover the contest. For more details and for the complete 2012 T-Shirt Design Contest rules visit www.fuquay-varinadowntown.com.
