Join the Fuquay-Varina Fire Department in helping to feed the hungry in Fuquay-Varina this holiday season.
The holidays can be a tough time for some neighbors but local residents can help those struggling to put food on the table. Now through Dec. 14, the Fuquay-Varina Fire Department is collecting nonperishable food items for the Fuquay-Varina Emergency Food Bank. Donations will be used to feed local families in Fuquay-Varina, Willow Spring and Holly Springs during the holiday season and this coming winter.
Any non-perishable item will be accepted, but the following foods are in critical need during the holiday season: canned fruits, vegetables, tuna, meats, spaghetti sauce and soups, cereal, crackers, peanut butter and jelly, macaroni and cheese and staples like beans, rice pasta, stuffing and dry foods, bagged or boxed. Cash donations also will be accepted and given to the Emergency Food Bank to purchase perishable food items.
Thank you for your generosity in helping the community. Drop off donations at any Fuquay-Varina Fire Station, Town Hall or the Food Lion located at 1508 Broad St.
