For the third year in a row, Holly Ridge Middle and Holly Grove Middle teamed up to raise money and collect food for the Holly Springs Food Cupboard. On Monday, Oct. 29, the faculty All-Star teams from each school faced off in a volleyball game with 100 percent of the proceeds benefitting the Food Cupboard.

While Holly Ridge defeated Holly Grove three games to two, the real winner was the Food Cupboard who received $575 from the event.

Over the past two weeks, the members of Holly Grove Middle’s National Junior Honor Society coordinated a school-wide food drive collecting 3,630 food items weighing over 3,400 pounds. Holly Ridge Middle School hosted a food drive earlier this month and has plans for another later this semester. For more information on how you can help the Food Cupboard please visit their website at www.hsfoodcupboard.org/.
