Puppet Palooza, teen poetry contest at Wake libraries this month

10 a.m.-4 p.m. - Puppet Palooza

Join staff at Eva Perry Regional Library for the second annual Puppet Palooza. Puppeteers will present three morning shows, and the professional puppet troupe, Grey Seal Puppets, will offer two afternoon performances of A Tangle of Tales, Folktales from Around the World. Teen Poetry Contest

Libraries will be accepting poetry submissions for the annual Teen Poetry Contest for young aspiring poets. Teen’s grades 6-12 are invited to submit up to three original poems for the contest. Winners will be announced in early May, and they will be honored with a trophy and a reception to read their winning submissions. Visit www.wakegov.com/libraries for entry guidelines. 2:30-3:30 p.m. – Explore Your Legal Rights

Campbell University School of Law professor and attorney Olivia L. Weeks will give an overview of the legal issues that life altering events like divorce and death of a spouse present to women of all ages. This event is free, but registration is required.
