Mark your calendar for Jan. 25 at 6 p.m. for the Sandy Hook Cares fundraising event. Gifts With a Heart is hosting a fundraising event to support the community of Sandy Hook Elementary.

Alice J. Wisler, a local author and bereaved mother, will be the featured speaker as she debuts her brand new book “Getting out of Bed in the Morning,” a daily devotional for those who have suffered loss and or tragedy.

The fundraiser also will feature several musicians from Converting Hearts, playing live music. Door Prizes and refreshments will be provided.

The proceeds from this event will go to providing books to families, teachers and first responders affected by the recent tragedy. Books will be on sale for purchase. To donate, cash donations will be accepted as well as a Gifts With A Heart donation of 10 percent of the gift shop sales during the event.

Gifts With A Heart is located at 2889 Jones Franklin Road in the Swift Creek Shopping Center in Raleigh. The event is open to the public.
