It’s that time of year. The time when calendars get chocked full of fun activities that we look forward to with great anticipation. One such activity we all look forward to year after year here in Fuquay-Varina is the annual Celebration of Fuquay-Varina festival held the first weekend in June. We all love this festival because it’s a combination of live entertainment, children and youth activities, classic cars, fabulous food and arts and crafts. In short, the Celebrate Fuquay-Varina festival is free, family fun in true Fuquay-Varina style!

This year, the festival will be held on Friday, June 1 and Saturday, June 2. On Friday night, the festival kicks-off with a free concert headlining Spare Change in Downtown Varina on Broad Street at 8 p.m. From contemporary to classic with a bit of funk, country and beach music thrown in, Spare Change is sure to please the crowd with a refreshing and exciting mix of music, sound and light.

Saturday festivities will be held in downtown Fuquay from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. The festival features a Kid Zone with lots of activities, live entertainment, the Fuquay Cruisers, more than 70 arts and crafts vendors, food, more entertainment, and fun.

Mark Friday, June 1 and Saturday, June 2 on the calendar as fun days and plan to be in Fuquay-Varina. Park your car and catch a free shuttle from either the Fuquay-Varina High School or the Fuquay-Varina Community Center to Downtown Fuquay on festival day.
