Morgan Weis, an eighth grader at Fuquay-Varina Middle School, is presented a plaque by Interim Superintendent Stephen Gainey at the March 19 Wake County School Board Meeting during the Spotlight on Students Award Ceremony. Morgan is the daughter of Steven and Susan Weis of Willow Spring, N.C.
Fuquay-Varina Middle School has selected Morgan Weis as the “Spotlight on Student” for 2012-2013.
She is an extremely hard working student whose effort is depicted by earning straight A’s on her report cards for every quarter she has attended FVMS. Weis is a member of the FVMS Beta Club, Yearbook staff and also a member of the Bengal Pals (a group that works with students in the Special Education Community at FVMS).
Outside of school, she dances three nights a week at the Main Street Dance Company and competes as part of their Elite dance team. She volunteers at F-V Downtown events such as Downtown Bounty, Celebrate F-V, Teen Day Fuquay and the July 3rd Celebration.
Currently, she is taking a forensic science class through the IMHOTEP Academy at N.C. State and is planning to work this summer as a Junior Camp counselor at the K-5 summer camp hosted by the F-V Parks and Recreation Department.
Despite her busy schedule and the task of completing all her homework assignments, Weis is a cheerful, well-adjusted and caring individual.
Fuquay-Varina Middle is proud to have Morgan Weis represent the school as its “Spotlight on Student” for 2012-2013.
