Allison Kase of Fuquay-Varina, has been selected as a finalist among ten in The Little Miss Coppertone Contest. Across the nation, thousands of parents submitted photos of their little girls, who best embody the spirit of Coppertone’s iconic character.
With the help of a panel of judges, including celebrity mom Alison Sweeney, Allison from Fuquay-Varina was selected as a finalist, representing the energetic and optimistic spirit of Little Miss Coppertone.
An icon since 1953, Little Miss Coppertone has been a symbol of family sun protection for decades. The brand continues this tradition by highlighting the importance of sun safety in its search for the next little girl.
From July 13 to 26, the ten finalist photos will be featured on the Coppertone Facebook page <http://www.facebook.com/coppertone/app_432377713445313>where America will have the opportunity to vote for the girl they believe best reflects Little Miss Coppertone’s wholesome, outgoing and energetic spirit. The top 10 pictures will be posted and the picture receiving the most “Likes” will be the winner.
The winner will be selected at the end of July and will be awarded with a seven-day, six-night family vacation and will be featured in a 2013 print ad.
Allison is 3 years old and was born in Rex Memorial Hospital. A life-long resident of Fuquay-Varina, Allison is very excited about the contest. Her little face lights up whenever she see’s herself on the computer.
Allison’s mother, Virginia Kase said, “We are honored to have made it this far and would love for the community to come together to help this local girl achieve her dream of becoming Little Miss Coppertone.”
