Choir Members from seven area churches sing for SWFCA (Southern Wake Faith Community in Action) in May 2012. This annual fundraiser continues this Sunday, when choirs from eight area churches participate in the third annual Choir Fest. Donations go toward the SWFCA, a local non-profit that helps families in crises.
Southern Wake Faith Community in Action (SWFCA) is excited to present the third annual Choirfest concert. The concert will be held this Sunday at 3 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Fuquay-Varina at 402 North Broad St. in downtown Fuquay-Varina.
The concert is free, and a love offering will be taken to support SWFCA, which is an organization dedicated to providing emergency financial assistance to families experiencing a crisis in the Fuquay-Varina and Willow Springs areas.
Formally known as Fuquay Family Aid, SWFCA has been helping people in this community for nearly 50 years.
This year’s concert features diverse and inspiring music from eight local churches including First United Methodist Church of Fuquay-Varina, Fuquay-Varina Baptist Church, Fuquay-Varina United Methodist Church, Abiding Presence Lutheran Church, First Presbyterian Church of Fuquay-Varina, St. Bernadette Catholic Church, First Baptist Church of Fuquay-Varina and Bazzel Creek Missionary Baptist Church.
