The Holly Grove Middle School National Junior Honor Society is one of four middle schools in the United States to be recognized with an “Outstanding Service Project” award. The award recognized the NJHS Food Drive and donations to the Holly Springs Food Cupboard. Between Oct. 15 and the Oct. 30, 2012 Holly Grove Middle School’s NJHS held a competitive food drive. The goal was to donate 3,000 lbs. of food to the Holly Springs Food Cupboard to help feed low-income families located in Holly Springs. The chapter accomplished their goal and more, with a grand total of 3,400 lbs. They also held a dance and faculty volleyball game and raised an additional $575 to donate to the charity.
