Town Hall became Teacher for the Day recently.
How does that work? That’s what 80 second graders from Willow Spring Elementary School asked at a recent visit to the Fuquay-Varina Town Hall. Representatives from public utilities, police and the public works department explained how the town provides services to more than 19,000 citizens.
The kids were fascinated, inquisitive and courteous.
“School visits are a favorite thing here at Town Hall,” said Public Information Officer for the Town of Fuquay-Varina Susan Weis.
Additional school visits are planned for later in the month.
