Remember the days of caroling with your friends around town, singing songs, drinking hot cocoa and “laughing all the way?” Well, those days are back again, in downtown Fuquay-Varina. On Friday from 5 to 9 p.m., all are invited to Christmas carol through beautiful downtown, visiting all of the unique shops (many will stay open late for this occasion) and singing songs at stops along the way.
This fun and inspiring event is part of the Fuquay-Varina Arts Council’s Special Holiday Edition of Art after Dark, which will showcase local arts and creativity at a variety of locations throughout downtown. The night will include a Holiday Artist and Crafter’s Market, holiday crafts for kids, a performance of “Charlie Brown’s Christmas” and “Clausarella,” pictures with Santa, Museum Tours, guest artists, a holiday trunk show, plenty of local art on display and more.
So mark the calendar, and warm up those vocal chords. Join an existing group of carolers, contact Jeanne Ridpath at email@example.com or 919-656-5276. Or come on down and bring a crew to go Christmas caroling throughout downtown.
Be sure to stop by the Holiday Artist and Crafter’s Market at 101 South Main St. where you can enjoy some free Hot Cocoa and cookies, pick up a map of participating locations and find that unique holiday gift too. Enjoy the arts showcased throughout, and perhaps finish off that holiday list “laughing all the way.”
