Linda Hayes and Lauren Keilman representing The Professional Women’s Leadership Association, a committee of the Fuquay-Varina Chamber of Commerce, presented three scholarships totaling $2,500 at Fuquay-Varina High School Senior Night on May 24.
Abigail Moody will be attending the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and plans to double major in mathematics and statistics and minor in business. Kaitlin Barnes will attend Wake Tech Community College and study sports marketing and communications. Emily Farthing was one of the winners of the Patriotic Scholarships that will be given out this year. Emily will attend the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her major will be in global studies where she plans to pursue a career as an intelligence analyst.
