Mr. Willie Matthews, Jr. and son Marcus of Virginia spent last weekend with his mother, Mrs. Birddie Matthews.

Sunday overnight guests of Ms. Birddie Matthews were her daughter, Ms. Rosie Dennis of Raleigh, daughter, Felica Dennis, and granddaughter, Breanna.

At Kipling United Methodist Church a week ago on Sunday for the 11 a.m. worship special music was provided by Miss Rebecca Williams of Sanford. The music was spiritually uplifting, received and enjoyed and was witnessed by everyone.

Ms. Williams is of Campbell University. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Parrish of Kipling.

Our sincere sympathy is to the family of Ms. Annie Brown of Fuquay-Varina died Wednesday, August 15, 2012. Funeral service was held 2:30 p.m. Sunday, August 19, at St. Augusta Missionary Baptist Church in Fuquay-Varina.

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Cleo Wilson, their daughter and four of their grandchildren spent several days last week at Myrtle Beach, several other family members joined them on Thursday and they all continued their vacation at the beach through Sunday when each family returned to their respective home on Sunday afternoon.
