Ellen

7 month old, Chatahoula Leopard Hound mix, spayed female

If you’re looking for a younger dog with a passion for life, you’ve found the right one. My name is Ellen. I get along great with other dogs and seem to really enjoy playtime with my K9 friends more than anything else! If you have a dog at home that needs some companionship and is ready to play, make sure you bring him here after speaking with an adoption counselor to see what a great match we would be! I’m still getting used to this big new world so I’m looking for a forever home that can take me in and love me for years to come. I’m still learning all there is to know about being an awesome, well-mannered dog so I hope that once you adopt me, you can continue to help me blossom. I can be slightly nervous when meeting new people but after a few minutes of interaction, you’ll see I’m high on life! If you’re looking for a great way for us to bond, consider taking me to obedience classes. I would love to learn all sorts of cool things and get to spend some quality time with you every day. I will weigh about 55lbs when I am full grown! For more information please visit www.spcawake.org/ or call 919-772-2326.

Thomas

5 years old, domestic shorthair, neutered male

Whoa! Look at all these people checking me out. I bet you all want to take me home forever and I can’t say that I blame you; I’m a pretty great cat. I’m Thomas and I’m the type of guy that is always up for anything. Whether it is play time or nap time, you choose the activity and I’ll gladly participate. I’m a big fan of sunny window sills or screened in porches - as long as I can hang around and watch the birds, I’m content. Plus, it gives me something to do while you’re away at work so I don’t get bored. When you finally come home, guess who will always be there to greet you? I just know that I can be a great friend if you’re willing to take the chance on me. Unfortunately, my previous family was not able to take me with them when they moved, so I need someone who is looking for a commitment. I have lived with dogs and even birds before, so if you have a cat friendly canine at home that should be just fine. I’ve also shared a home with kids of all ages and other cats, and I seem to be pretty tolerant of them. I can’t wait to start our life-long adventure together, can you? For more information please visit www.spcawake.org/ or call 919-772-2326.
