One Heart SUP is a new paddleboarding business that opened this month. Stand up paddleboarding has been sweeping the nation with its unique combination of balance, strength and adventure. One Heart SUP is a collaboration between One Heart Yoga and Outstanding Personal Training, both in Fuquay-Varina.

Their mission is to provide the ultimate fitness experience while being on a paddleboard. They do this by offering (in addition to introductory paddle boarding classes) fitness and cardio on the board, as well as yoga classes on the paddle board.

According to Mira Casile, owner of One Heart Yoga, the SUP (Stand Up Paddleboard) gives you a sense of freedom and adventure like no other. It allows you to harness the power of the human body to propel yourself across large bodies of water while you are standing on your own two feet. There is no comparison to any other mode of water transportation, water sport, or fitness modality. The SUP allows you to build “real” core strength and great cardiovascular health. Best of all, it is easy to learn how to do. She said you can truly build a resilient, healthy body while you are enjoying the peacefulness of nature and walking across the water.

Paddleboarding alone is great fun and offers tremendous health benefits like improved balance, coordination, strength and stamina. But what if you could learn how to do yoga on a paddleboard? How amazing would that be? How graceful and strong could you become? Better yet, what if you could learn to perform a head to toe bodyweight exercise routine while you were walking on water? How much more resilient and healthy would your body become?

The owners and instructors at One Heart SUP will teach you how to build an amazingly strong, graceful, and powerful body – all while you are walking on water. It is a great way to get outside, enjoy the beauty of nature, spend quality time with friends and family and have a totally new and refreshing fitness experience. Classes will be taught by Tim Anderson of OPT and Erik and Mira Casile of One Heart Yoga.
