Sim Ogburn, 24, of Willow Spring, arranges strawberries for sale at a stand off Old Stage Road. This is his first year growing the crop. He hopes that enlarging his strawberry fields and adding other produce will enable him to make a living on the 100-acre farm where he represents the fourth generation. Sim and his father, Andy Ogburn, believe the public’s increasing interest in locally grown foods will create a profitable market for Sim’s crops.
