Holocaust Speakers Bureau in conjunction with Artauro Productions, MARCCOM, MCA-I and the Downtown Fuquay-Varina Rotary Club recently video taped eight Holocaust Survivors’ stories.
Tom Morse, president of the Central Carolina Chapter of the MCA-I (Media Communications Association International) said, “Our local community is fortunate to have not only very talented media professionals, but people willing to get involved and share their time. Across the country, MCA-I members have earned a well-deserved reputation for community involvement.”
The videos interviews will be complied and shown at one of the Downtown Fuquay-Varina Rotary Club’s Speaker Series - a free, open to the public speaker series, provided by the Downtown Fuquay-Varina Rotary Club.
The speaker series is something new the Downtown Fuquay-Varina Rotary Club is providing to our community. This year the series theme is Peace and Conflict Resolution.
The next phase of the Holocaust project will be to incorporate the video footage captured, photos, maps and memorabilia into lesson plans for middle and high school students.
