On Saturday, June 2, artists and fine craftsman will showcase their talent during the annual Fuquay-Varina Celebration of the Arts festival. The festival, now in its ninth year, is organized by the Fuquay-Varina Downtown Association. The Town of Fuquay-Varina hosts the Celebrate Fuquay-Varina in conjunction with the Celebration of the Arts to create one impressive celebration. The Chamber of Commerce launches the celebration with their Run the Quay 5k.
The Celebration of the Arts includes local artists from Fuquay-Varina, Holly Springs, Apex, Angier, Clayton, and Wake Forest, but the festival also boasts artists from places a bit farther away such as Florida. All art genres are represented including photography, painting of every kind, pottery, beaded, metal and glass jewelry, wood art, metal art, sculpture, glass art, stained glass, textiles, mixed media and every craft imaginable!
