The third flight was won by the Capstone Bank team of Tommy Phillips, Hal Johnson, Mark Green and Joe Monk. Second place went to the team organized at Martin Marietta, Two pair of Socks of Steve Schammel, Ed Austin, John Schulte and Chris Umphlett. The Lions would like to thank all of the golfers and sponsors that made this a great day. They especially thank Jerry Baird and Wolfpackaging Industries for their generous gifts for the long drive competition and to John Heister Chevrolet for the hole-in-one prize. Thanks also to Krispy Kreme for their gifts and for providing coffee and donuts to the Lions, Harris-Teeter and Food Lion for providing water and soft drinks and Subway, Jersey Mikes and Rudino’s Pizza and Grinders for providing sandwiches, cookies and chips respectively. Thanks also to Evelyn Kinlaw and David Walters and the staff at Bentwinds for all of their help in making the day a success.
