The Town of Fuquay-Varina will host a ground breaking ceremony on Wednesday, Oct. 10 at 10 a.m. to commemorate the start of construction of S.W. Judd Parkway, a 2,400 foot section of S.W. Judd Parkway which will extend the existing section of S.W. Judd Parkway from where it currently terminates near the Southview Pointe subdivision. The road will travel along an unused portion of the eastern edge of Fleming Loop Soccer fields and end at Hwy. 42. Improvements to Hwy. 42 are planned for the intersection of the two roads. The total project cost is estimated at $3.2 million and is funded by an $8 million bond referendum approved by taxpayers in 2007.
