ESL teacher Laurie Dillman was named Fuquay-Varina High School's Teacher of the Year and has been named a semifinalist for the Wake County honor.

Easter events in the Independent
ATTENTION: Any churches hoping to get their Easter events in the Fuquay-Varina Independent. We need those in today, March 22, by 5 p.m. so we can include them in the Easter events calendar for the March 27 issue of the Independent. You can email kgriffith@civitasmedia.com, fax 919-552-7564, or call 919-552-5675. We've only heard from five churches so far and we know there are lots more events taking place during Holy Week.
