While early release days at Fuquay-Varina Middle School usually are filled with celebrations and not much instruction, the students got a different lesson last Friday. With the help of a $2,770 grant from Lowe’s and the generous help of Daniel’s Mulch, the Bengals got their hands dirty to help beautify the campus. The American Legion, Post 116, located on Johnson Pond Road in Fuquay-Varina is benefitting from three Eagle Scout projects. The Eagles-to-be are installing a trail from the post to the amphitheater and pond area that will make it easier for the members and guests of the post to travel between the two destinations.
