Weis chosen as 2012-13 ‘Spotlight on Student’ Fuquay-Varina Middle School has selected Morgan Weis as the “Spotlight on Student” for 2012-2013.
She is an extremely hard working student whose effort is depicted by earning straight A’s on her report cards for every quarter she has attended FVMS. Weis is a member of the FVMS Beta Club, Yearbook staff and also a member of the Bengal Pals (a group that works with students in the Special Education Community at FVMS).

Above Fashions becomes ‘Orange Crush Central’ When Fuquay Sports Shop closed at the end of February, Fuquay-Varina High School students feared it was the end of the Orange Crush t-shirts so loved by the Bengals.
But Orange Crush fans can rest easy. The Fuquay Sports Shop’s heat press was sold to Juanita Lee at Above Fashions on March 11.
Lee said she was looking to offer another custom item in her shop and always wanted a heat press. The timing wasn’t right until now.

Woman’s Club boasts 3 state arts festival winners The Fuquay-Varina Woman’s Club and GFWC Junior Club had three student winners for the State of North Carolina at the March State Arts Festival.
