Poetry isn’t religion. No one would die for it or of it. Poet, editor and educator Scott Owens knows these truths. Yet still he writes poetry, with more than 1,100 published poems, 10 poetry collections and nine Pushcart nominations. Officer Taylor receives certification
Contributed Fuquay-Varina Police Cpl. David Taylor recently received his Intermediate Certificate from the N.C. Department of Justice, Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Division. Taylor, who joined the FVPD in January 2007, is a certified police instructor. He resides in Holly Springs with his wife and three sons, ages 6, 4 and 2 and coaches soccer for the Town of Fuquay-Varina Youth Sports program.
