DMV examiners earn honors for high rate of life saving donations
Examiners at the Fuquay-Varina Driver’s License Office received recognition from Donate Life North Carolina for having the highest organ and eye donor designation rate (63.1 percent) for its district in 2012. Fuquay-Varina’s rate increased more than two percentage points from the previous year. The average sign-up rate in North Carolina for 2012 was 51.9 percent. The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 116, proudly hosted their first Mother’s Day Tea and Luncheon on May 4. Guests enjoyed assorted tea with scones, muffins, lemon curd, jams and Devonshire cream.
