Wake tops state in health for 4th consecutive year A study released last week reported what many locals already see in their daily lives – Wake County is healthy.
The University of Wisconsin Populatin Health Institute and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation worked together through the County Health Rankings and Roadmaps program to report that Wake is the healthiest county in the state for the fourth year running.
Nationwide, the program ranks the health of more than 3,000 counties.

Above Fashions becomes ‘Orange Crush Central’ When Fuquay Sports Shop closed at the end of February, Fuquay-Varina High School students feared it was the end of the Orange Crush t-shirts so loved by the Bengals.
But Orange Crush fans can rest easy. The Fuquay Sports Shop’s heat press was sold to Juanita Lee at Above Fashions on March 11.
Lee said she was looking to offer another custom item in her shop and always wanted a heat press. The timing wasn’t right until now.
