An egg-cellent time
The Town of Fuquay-Varina held the annual Easter Egg Hunt on March 23 at 10 a.m. at South Park. Hundreds of children hunted for 13,000 eggs. The kids were split up by age group, 4 and younger, 5 to 7 years old and 8 to 10 years old. And while the sun didn’t want to come out and play much on the chilly morning, the Easter Bunny was ready to visit with a long line of visitors.

3rd-generation business mixes flora, food this spring
Fairview Garden Center got its start almost 40 years ago through Jo Ann Dewar’s interest in gardening. Fairview is situated on 13 acres that was once the Dewar family farm. Back in the early 70s, Dewar’s husband bought her several greenhouses where she could indulge her passion for growing things.
