William “Bubba” Paul Goodson, 44, of Faison, former Garner resident, died Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at home. He was the husband of Sharon Blackman Goodson. A service to remember Paul was held Saturday, April 20, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home. A visitation followed. A private interment was held on Sunday, April 21, 2013, at the family cemetery near his parents’ home.

Elder R. L. Fish, 83 of Fuquay-Varina died on Friday, April 19, 2013, after a courageous battle with cancer. A native of Wake County, he was born on April 9, 1930, to the late Robert Lee Fish, Sr. and Sallie Moore Fish. He was a U.S. Army veteran who served during the Korean Conflict.
