Earlier this year, citizens and leaders in Wake County participated in the County’s community assessment process. Important issues for the County concerning physical, behavioral, mental, economic and environmental health, as well as safety and life-long learning, have been identified using data collected through focus groups, a community survey and statistical information.
The community action planning forums will be held at the times and locations listed below. Dinner will be served at each forum.

The Community Needs Assessment is required every four years by the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services. Over 1,300 randomly-selected surveys have been collected from different parts of the County since September 2009. The information gathered during the assessment will be analyzed and put into a report. Community members will use the report to develop an action plan to improve services to citizens.
