Visit the Cameron Village Regional Library and experience the “Celebrate N.C. Faces and Places” photo exhibit. The images were taken by professional and amateur photographers. History enthusiasts are encouraged to hear a presentation at North Regional Library that explains how the modern civil rights movement is rooted in the era of World War II. Kenneth Janken, a professor of Afro-American studies and adjunct professor of history at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, will lead the discussion. For information, call 870-4000.
