On March 17, 2000, reinsurance executives John Bender, Tim Kenny and Enda McDonnell turned their industry's St. Patrick's Day party into a head-shaving event to benefit kids with cancer. Since 2000, more than 183,000 volunteers - including more than 16,400 women - have shaved in solidarity with children with cancer at events in dozens of countries and every U.S. state. Last Friday, April 1, eight members of the Holly Grove Middle School staff, Jason Bolchalk, Cory Dams, David Williams, Tyler Rife, Matt Dilts, Steve Kibler, Chad Smith and Tommy Ender participated, raising more than $5,100 for the cause.
Awesome way to show love of children!!
