“The former town website was last updated in 2003, so it needed modernization,” said Susan Weis, Public Information Officer. “The staff has worked hard over the past 10 months to create a more informative, interactive and relevant website for citizens, business and visitors to find timely and easily accessible information. We hope it will also present a positive and inviting image of the town to help attract visitors and businesses to the area.”
Citizens will notice several features that make it easier to find information more quickly. On the home page, frequently accessed information can be found in the Quick Links section or the new Resident Information tab. Also new to the site, a Business Information tab. Other new features on the home page include a Town News section with top stories and announcements and a Calendar with events, meetings, and special events.
The Parks and Recreation Department has a greatly expanded site accessible from the home page. Citizens can now find Parks & Recreation news, programs and special event information much more easily.
