Military Missions in Action is about midway through a substantial project at 202 Gray Street in Cary. The home belongs to that of a World War II veteran with disabilities. The primary focus of Military Missions in Action is to make modifications to homes of veterans to allow them to live independently. These home modifications are performed by volunteers from the community. Military Missions In Action (MMIA) is a 501(c)(3) organization headquartered in Fuquay-Varina.

The project is expected to last until mid-August and MMIA is still accepting volunteers of all skill levels as well as donations of money, building materials and lunches. MMIA is funded through private donations, support from business, churches and civic organizations, fundraising events and grants.

If you would like to volunteer or make a donation, contact Sandy Block at sblock@militarymissionsinaction.org or call 919-218-2617. You may also call Roger White, Project Manager, Rtwyankee07@nc.rr.com, 919-454-8568; or Mike Dorman, Executive Director, mdorman@militarymissionsinaction.org, 919-868-0054.
