Rebecca H. Honeycutt, 89, died Sunday, November 27, 2011. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at Piney Grove Chapel Baptist Church, Angier. Burial will follow at Honeycutt Family Cemetery in Johnston County.
Mrs. Honeycutt was born in Johnston County, NC, daughter of Haywood and Flossie Smith Honeycutt.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Louis Buford Honeycutt and daughters, Shelvie Jean Honeycutt and Judy Honeycutt Stancil.
She is survived by her daughter, Grace Smyre and husband, Glenn of Raleigh; sons, B. J. Honeycutt and wife, Vicki of Angier, Ronnie Honeycutt and wife, Brenda of Fuquay-Varina; son-in-law, Glenn Stancil of Willow Spring; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and one great-great grandson.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 29. from 7:00 to 9:00 at Thomas Funeral Home, 401 N Ennis Street, Fuquay-Varina.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Piney Grove Chapel Baptist Church, 4440-A Piney Grove Church Road, Angier, NC, 27501.
