The Fuquay-Varina Economic Development Commission, Inc., (FVEDC) announced that they have entered into a lease agreement with TeamWORKS Solutions, Inc., a software development company specializing in maintenance resource planning software and solutions. TeamWORKS has been in business over 10 years and will be relocating to the SPHERE Business Center this June from Coats. In addition to the company’s relocation to Fuquay-Varina, both the FVEDC and TeamWORKS have indicated that they will work together to further leverage private investment to the Town of Fuquay-Varina. The FVEDC and TeamWORKS will collaborate to attract businesses and industries in the IT and software industries from both the Triangle region and the Fort Bragg business community.

“The FVEDC created the SPHERE Business Center venue to provide a professional working environment for a hardworking, well-established company such as our new tenant TeamWORKS,” stated FVEDC Chairman, Larry Witek. “From the SPHERE Business Centers launch back in Spring 2011 to today, our new tenants represent the envisioned kind of established companies we wish to have occupy SPHERE and the type of company and we want to have established within the Fuquay-Varina business community.”

TeamWORKS is a leading provider of maintenance resource planning (MRP) and solutions. As an MRP company, TeamWORKS enables maintenance management professionals to reduce spending while improving the efficiency of their operations. TeamWORKS has been successfully helping school districts, universities, hospitals, public utility providers, municipalities, local governments, convenient stores chains and commercial clients across the nation improve their maintenance management operations since 2002. TeamWORKS will occupy 7 of the 10 available offices in SPHERE. TeamWORKS has offered and agreed to partner with FVEDC to further attract, mentor and grow other companies looking to utilize Fuquay-Varina’s strategic location and professional business community as a focus and home for their business operations.

“We believe that the SPHERE Business Center is the best location for TeamWORKS to maximize its operating potential. Our company believes in Fuquay-Varina’s business community and we know that we will be able to further grow our company’s customer base while working with the FVEDC to attract other technology companies to Fuquay-Varina,” said Randy McLean, TeamWORKS Chief Operating Officer. “We look forward to growing our business throughout the community and we believe in the aggressive economic development agenda set forth by the Town’s Economic Development Department and the FVEDC to leverage private investment to the community.”

Since its inception in 2006, FVEDC, a local 501-C-3, Nonprofit Economic Development Commission, has undertaken efforts to create job growth and set the standard for economic growth in Fuquay-Varina. The SPHERE Business Center was one of the FVEDC’s first completed projects. SPHERE Business Center was originally designed as a shared-office environment, offering tenants a professional and collaborative atmosphere. SPHERE is now a technology center focused on recruiting cutting edge technology companies to Fuquay-Varina.

“Our new tenant will be a great addition to the Town’s business community. As an elected Official for the Town of Fuquay-Varina and board member of the FVEDC, having a company like TeamWORKS locate within our community is a testament to our continued successes in economic development. TeamWORKS will help the FVEDC move forward an economic development agenda that has been developed by the FVEDC and Town to attract businesses that will grow our community and become a supporter for the business community,” stated Mayor Pro-Tempore, Charlie Adcock. Mr. Adcock also represents the Town of Fuquay-Varina on the FVEDC Board of Directors.

“I look forward to further partnering with TeamWORKS to foster and grow new business at SPHERE but to also work with Mr. McLean and his company to leverage private investment from the software community into the Fuquay-Varina business community,” said Jim Seymour, Executive Director of the FVEDC. “We could not have asked for a better company to occupy the SPHERE Business Center. I am excited about another public and private collaboration to attract more business opportunity to our town.
