Linda Faye-Owen Murphy, 57, of Fuquay-Varina was arrested May 28 on an assault with a deadly weapon charge.

Julee Melinda Hartley, 20, of Willow Springs was arrested May 29 on a larceny from a merchant charge.

Burnett Devon Smith, 25, of Durham was arrested May 31 on a driving while a license was revoked charge.

Timmy Lee Mayfield, 45, of Holly Springs was arrested May 31 on a misdemeanor worthless check charge.

Oscar Gutierrez, 19, of Lillington was arrested June 1 on a provisional driving while impaired charge.

An arrest was made in an alleged larceny of packages of cards reported June 1 at Walmart off E. Broad St.

Theft

Larceny of a motor vehicle was reported May 29 off Broad St. The case is under further investigation.

Larceny of cell phones was reported May 30 off S. Main St. The case was closed; leads were exhausted.

Breaking and entering and larceny from a motor vehicle were reported May 31 off E. Maple Ln. when tools and more were taken from an unsecured vehicle. The case is under further investigation.

Other crimes

Resisting, delaying or obstructing a public officer was reported May 28 off Ransom St. The case was listed as inactive.

Obtaining a controlled substance by fraud or forgery and attempting to obtain a controlled substance by fraud or forgery were reported June 1 at a pharmacy off N. Main St. The case is under further investigation.

Property damage to tires was reported June 2 off Bengal Blvd. The case is under further investigation.
