Our deepest sympathy goes tot he family of Mr. Tommy Robertosn of Fuquay-Varina, Chalybeate Springs community. He died Monday morning at the residence where he has lived for 30 years, the home of Mr. Everette Lee McKoy. Funeral service was held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, at Walkers Funeral Home in Lillington. Burial was at Mission Temple Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.

Rev. Joe Green, pastor of Chalybeate Springs Baptist Church, will preach his last sermon next Sunday at the 11 a.m. worhship hour. Rev. Green will be teaching at the Baptist Seminary in Wake Forest.

A catered Church Family Dinner will be held at 6 p.m., July 11, at the church community building in recognition, appreciation and thanks to the Rev. and Mrs. Green for their untiring leadership and faithful church administration for about five years at Chalybeate Springs Baptist Church.

Ms. Birdie Matthews and two daughters, Ms. Rosa Dennis, Ms. Lola Evans, and granddaughter Feleshia spent the weekend with her son Willie Matthews, Jr., and family in Virginia.
