On Saturday, July 21 starting at noon, American Poolplayers Association (APA) Ladies “Tour for the Cure” will hold our First Annual Crossing for the Cause Scotch Doubles Billiards Tournament at On the Snap Sports Bar & Grill. This is a man and woman team event, but our men will be in playing in dresses. Along with the tournament, we will be having a bake sale, a cue raffle and a raffle for many donated prizes. Our cause is to raise breast cancer awareness and donate money to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

About one in eight U.S women will develop breast cancer over the course of her lifetime. An estimated 230,480 new cases of breast cancer will be diagnosed among women in 2011.

APA Ladies “Tour for the Cure” is a traveling billiards tournament with friendly competition among woman only. They hold six to eight tournaments per year on Saturdays.
