Fuquay-Varina - Dwight Steven Holt, 63, went to be with the Lord Saturday, September 22, 2012. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, September 25, at Duncan Baptist Church, 12024 Hwy 42 West, Holly Springs. Family received friends from 1 to 2 p.m., one hour prior to the service. Interment followed at Church Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Odell Holt.

Mr. Holt was a retired Brick Machine Operator with Triangle Brick Company. He loved his church and had served as deacon at Duncan Baptist Church where he served faithfully. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother and a wonderful neighbor who will be missed greatly.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Doris Sauls Holt; his daughter, Rhonda Hamilton and husband, Bobby of Fuquay-Varina; mother, Virginia Holt of Fuquay-Varina; brothers, Melvin Holt and wife Rainelle of Chapel Hill, Ronnie Holt and wife Brenda of Apex; sisters, Donna Sue Rogers and husband, Jerry of Durham, Dale Parks and husband, Curtis of Fuquay-Varina, Glenda Braswell and husband, Bill of Fuquay-Varina and Pam Jones and husband, Tony of Holly Springs.
