At Kipling United Methodist Church on Sunday at the 11 a.m., “King’s Way Quartet,” rendered a worship service in song. A glorious and spiritual service was enjoyed by the congregation and everyone present.

On Friday, Oct. 5, the Kipling Church is sponsoring their annual Pork and Chicken Barbecued Plate Sale from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Community Building. The cost is $8. Pastor Melinda Ivey and members cordially invite the public to come out and support the church and community.

The Rev. Wayne Wilhelm of Fuquay-Varina and pastor of Shepherd Flock Baptist Church in Durham rendered the service Sunday afternoon at Bethlehem A.M.E. Zion Church. Rev. Linda McLean wishes to thank everyone who came out and supported the service.

The fundraiser project Family Portrait Certificate is still in progress at Bethlehem A.M.E. Zion Church. Participants will receive one limited edition 10x13 color portrait for $10. At Prince of Peace Chapel CME Church Sunday morning at 11 a.m., there was a healing service held following the Sunday school hour.

Happy birthday to Georgia Johnson, Brian Croon, Harrison Jones, Dee Fincher, Kathy Bryant, Brian McCollough and Tanner Nipper who had a birthday last week. Wishing you many more happy returns.
