Daniel L. Chisholm, 38 of Chocowinity died suddenly Monday, October 1, 2012 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville. Daniel was formerly of Fayetteville where he graduated from 71st High School.
Following high school, he attended East Carolina University where he earned a BS degree in Design and Drafting from the School of Engineering Technology. In addition to his work in design, Daniel was a gifted musician, playing the bagpipes with Cross Creek Pipes and Drums for several years. He played violin with the East Carolina Symphony Orchestra while attending college. Daniel was involved with several bands in the Chocowinity area, playing the fiddle and the guitar. He was proud to be Scottish and enjoyed performing in various venues that promoted his heritage. He was preceded in death by a brother, Michael R. Chisholm.
Daniel is survived by his Fiancé, Judy Cleary of Chocowinity; Parents, Fred and Anita Chisholm of Bunnlevel; Sister, Julie Chisholm Herrington of Bunnlevel.
Funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, October 8, at the Lillington United Methodist Church, 1201 South Main Street, Lillington, with Rev. Dr. Elton Hendricks offiicating. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
