Each year the Fuquay Varina Emergency Food Pantry works closely with local churches and other pantries to provide families in need with a Thanksgiving dinner. This year, the price of Turkeys has nearly doubled and has put the pantry’s ability to provide this service in jeopardy. Therefore, they are asking individuals to help fund the Thanksgiving dinners by sponsoring meals.
Donation cards are available at the food pantry so that donors can write a personal note of encouragement or a prayer to be placed in the bag with the food. Any size donation is welcome, but it is estimated that it will take $20 to $25 to provide a Thanksgiving dinner this year.
Stop by the pantry this month during their operating hours (9-11:45 a.m. Tuesday and 3-5:45 p.m. Thursday) to make a donation. On other days, you may obtain a card and drop off your donations at Century 21 Becky Medlin Realty at the intersection of Judd Parkway and Old Honeycutt.
