Thanks to Harte Electric’s support of the Arts and CrankArm Rickshaws of Raleigh, the Fuquay-Varina Arts Council October “Fall for the Arts” event connected both sides of our Town.

There was music and Art dispersed in both the Fuquay and Varina areas. Even Mayor Byrne toured the town in one of the Rickshaws.

This was the 13th consecutive “Second Friday” event by the Fuquay Arts Council, which is beginning to grow its membership of individuals as well as local businesses.

The members are working to create an environment that adds both texture and color to the area. That said, volunteer ranks are growing. Local art provided through the Council’s Gallery Around Town Project can be seen in many businesses in Fuquay.

To get involved, receive the Council’s newsletter and find ways to support; please visit www.FVArtsCouncil.org.

During the Second Friday event in November, there will be an area Art Auction at Stars Theater on Nov. 9. The Art Auction will have a social viewing time from 5 to 6 p.m. and then a professional auction, featuring Jason McCoon, co-star of the History Channel Series, “Real Deal.”
