Grace E. Rooks of Fuquay-Varina recently was selected to participate in the 2012 Miss Pre-Teen Raleigh pageant competition that will take place on Sunday.
Rooks will compete in the Miss Pre-Teen division, one of four divisions that will include young ladies ages 7 through 19, competing in modeling routines for casual and formal wear.
Most important, Rooks will display her personality and interviewing skills before this year’s judging panel. Personality is the number one aspect that each contestant is judged on during all phases of competition.
If Grace wins the title of Miss Pre-Teen Raleigh, she would represent Raleigh and the surrounding communities at the National Competition that will take place in Orlando, Fla. More than $30,000 in prizes and awards will be presented at the National Competition while each winner enjoys an expense-paid trip of five nights and six days in Orlando.
Main Street Dance, other community businesses and friends of the Rooks family will assist the contestant in participating in this year’s competition by becoming her official sponsors. Through sponsorship, each contestant receives all the necessary training, rehearsals and financial support to allow her to become confident and well-prepared for this year’s Raleigh pageant.
Any business, organization or private individual interested in becoming a sponsor for Rooks may contact the Miss Pre-Teen Raleigh pageant coordinator at 1-877-403-6678.
