The idea of ClubWorx personal trainer Beverly Moore, the Merry Triathalon was set up not only to raise money for Banded Brothers, but also to keep the club’s many athletes motivated through the holiday season.

During the indoor triathalon, more than 30 participants swam 200 meters in the pools, cycled a 15k on the indoor bikes and ran two miles on the treadmills. Participants included members of the Raleigh Police and Fire Departments as well as Cary EMS.

Shortly after the idea came about for an indoor triathalon, Charlie Gray of Banded Brothers approached ClubWorx to ask for help with a fundraiser; it was the perfect marriage.

Prizes and post race refreshements were sponsored by H3 Recovery and Ginger Littleversity pre-school.

The event raised more than $1,200 to be distributed to local families in need at Christmas through the Banded Brothers organization.
