I recently went into a home that was beautifully decorated. It inspired me to want to add a little flair to my own home. However, with the recent holidays and upcoming expenses I knew our family would be facing, I simply didn’t have the funds to spend money on new home decor.

I found I didn’t have to despair, and found redecorating did not have to cost me a fortune. The room that really needed an overhaul was the master bedroom. The bedroom doubles as our home office and I feel like it had lost a lot of that comfy feeling a bedroom should have.

The first thing I did when overhauling our master bedroom is purged things that we didn’t need that were collecting dust.

I changed the artwork around as well, moving pieces from the master bath to the bedrom. Ifound lamps from another room and added them to the new, improved master.

I also was able to redecorate the guest bathroom with pieces that I had simply lying around the home.

The total price for my attempts as redecorating? It cost me absolutely nothing. I feel like I have three brand new rooms in my home and I did not spend a dime.

If you feel like you don’t have what you need to redecorate from within your home, I would still encourage you not to pay full price. Check out area yard sales, thrift stores or consignment sales to see if you can find that perfect item. Making your home beautiful does not have to break the bank.
