In a place where “everybody is welcome…even Catholics” and radio station OKKK provides the local news (if they remember to turn on the power), you will find an eclectic band of characters that make up the small town full of southern stereotypes known as Tuna, Texas.
Next Friday, March 15 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, March 16 at 2 p.m., come watch as the adult professional troupe at Stars Theater and Art Center in Fuquay-Varina takes on the well-known and hilarious comedy, Greater Tuna, in which two actors portray twenty different, but equally outlandish, characters.
Greater Tuna is a comedy in two acts written by Joe Sears, Jaston Williams, and Ed Howard. Originally, the show was a party skit based on a political cartoon, but in the last twenty-five years it has spawned four “Tuna” spin offs. Greater Tuna is the first of the four.
Stars Theater and Art Center is located at 123 East Vance Street Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526. For tickets go to www.starstheaterandart.com or call 919-557-8271.
